My Approach to this project is rooted in romantic and idyllic traditions of portraiture and landscape. Circled with photographs that are its alternative which unsettle the peaceful and suggest subliminal forces. I am interested in the ways a neurosis may appear in the midst of vast and open landscapes. Embroidered in the work, is the exploration of several myths and themes including intimate and sacred ties with land. My own experience of living in a rural community pushed me to explore the medial of loneliness and delusion which often accompanies secluded environments and communities.
